Job Summary
Conduct advanced diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electric powered industrial trucks while coordinating daily maintenance activities and prioritizing work orders. Monitor CMMS documentation, manage third-party service quality, and triage emergency service calls during rotating on-call rotations. Provide technical guidance to MHE Technician I personnel, analyze recurring equipment failures, and support inventory management and continuous improvement initiatives. Requires extensive experience with Raymond forklifts, electrical/hydraulic troubleshooting, and a valid Class 5 Quebec Driver's Licence. This senior technical resource leads the site's maintenance program within Lineage Logistics, a leader in temperature-controlled food supply chain solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience maintaining electric powered industrial trucks (forklifts)
- Advanced troubleshooting skills involving electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic control systems
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate maintenance activities, prioritize competing demands, and work independently
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to effectively utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, maintenance history, and preventive maintenance activities
- Ability to research technical documentation and manufacturer resources to resolve complex equipment issues with minimal supervision
- Valid Class 5 Quebec Driver's Licence
- Participation in a rotating on-call schedule is required
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour shifts, including a 30-minute unpaid meal break
- Standard start time is 6:00 a.m.; however, start times may vary between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. based on operational requirements, preventive maintenance schedules, equipment availability, and emergency service needs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience maintaining Raymond powered industrial trucks, including reach trucks, order pickers, pallet trucks, walkie riders, end riders, and other electric forklifts
- Experience working in refrigerated or cold-storage warehouse environments
- Experience servicing lead-acid and lithium-ion battery systems, charging equipment, battery management systems, and associated components
- Familiarity with OEM diagnostic software and manufacturer service documentation
- Experience using a CMMS
- Certification or training in industrial mechanics, electromechanics, heavy equipment repair, or a related trade
- Welding or fabrication experience is considered an asset
