Job Summary
Material Handling Engineer to design, implement, optimize material flow systems across satellite-manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include end-to-end material flow design from supplier receipt to point-of-use delivery, optimizing line-side storage and warehouse layouts, implementing replenishment methodologies (Kanban, safety stock, pull systems), and ensuring inventory accuracy and productivity. Leads continuous improvement initiatives, aligns ERP/MRP signals with physical flows, develops barcode/traceability standards, and collaborates with Production Control, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and IT. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of three years’ experience in manufacturing/material handling, with strong analytical, cross-functional collaboration, and Excel/data-analysis skills. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Preferred qualifications include aerospace/semiconductor experience and familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Epicor) and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau). The role may involve standing/walking in manufacturing and warehouse environments, with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in manufacturing, material handling, warehouse operations, industrial engineering, production control, supply chain, or logistics
- Experience designing material flow systems in manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, replenishment systems, and production support processes
- Experience utilizing ERP, MRP, inventory management, and manufacturing systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
