Job Summary
Move material around the plant using a forklift and/or crane for producing, packaging, or shipping parts. Perform miscellaneous tasks to ensure safe, efficient, and quality production, while observing machine processing for proper functioning. Load and unload assigned machines, pack product for the forklift, and perform visual or manual inspection as needed. Complete required paperwork and assist operators with set-ups and running production. Work 12-hour shifts on a rotating continental schedule (48-hour weeks followed by 36-hour weeks), with 2-on/2-off or 3-on/2-off rotations. Forklift experience is required, along with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Forklift experience required
- Ability to frequently bend and stoop
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Basic math skills
- Able to communicate effectively
- Must be able to stand for extended period of time and exert moderate to heavy physical effort with a minimum lifting requirement of 50 pounds
- Must be willing to travel as needed via most efficient means
- Must be physically able to access all areas of the plant and grounds
- Must be available for work on any shift or shift rotation or work schedule as needed by the company
- High School Diploma or equivalent
