Job Summary
Transport purchased material from receiving to proper stock locations and move finished goods inventory to the stock area. Maintain inventory accuracy within the computer system by running daily and weekly reports to review and resolve material variances. Keep work areas clean and organized while following ISO standards, and coordinate material in manufacturing by notifying scheduling and planning of shortages or discrepancies. Support assigned areas and participate in receiving activities including verification and counting. Perform tasks in a dynamic environment involving lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and exposure to noise and dust.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to stoop, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionally
- Ability to work within a dynamic environment with customer delivery pressure
- Attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of material handling or similar experience
- Material Handler Training as provided by YSI
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to use computers and software in a variety of functions including keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail
- Organizational skills, work with minimal guidance on daily tasks
- Willingness to provide support for other areas as necessary
- Ability to multi-task
