Job Summary
Material Handler at Xylem is responsible for using powered or hand forklift(s) to transport materials and parts to/from production areas, maintaining equipment in safe condition, identifying parts by part number, clocking/transferring shop orders, and supporting inventory control while adhering to Lean Manufacturing principles. The role requires completing forklift safety training and demonstrating safe operation, working in a collaborative team environment with strong communication, and following safety procedures to ensure quality and efficiency on the shop floor. The position is based in Texarkana, US, with standard 40-hour weeks and potential seasonal overtime; forklift certification and familiarity with production layouts and machine locations are important. Other duties as assigned by supervision; participation in company volunteer initiatives and commitment to inclusion and belonging are encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Forklift operation experience
- Internal forklift operation certification required or to be obtained
- Manufacturing/production experience desired but not required
