Job Summary
Material Handler position in shipping/manufacturing. Responsibilities include transporting various materials (particleboard, wood, painted parts) between locations using equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, order picker, and scanning items to move them through the plant. Duties cover stocking parts, delivering to next operations, moving buggies and pallets, loading/unloading for shipping, and operating yard/truck movements as needed. Requires lifting up to 100 pounds (100 pounds for shipping) and certification to operate forklift/pallet-jack/order picker with PIT training. Emphasizes safety, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and collaboration with team members. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or 1 year of equivalent experience
- Certified to operate forklift, powered pallet jack, order picker, etc. depending on department
- Must complete provided Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds (some roles up to 50 pounds)
- Strong safety awareness and ability to follow work/process procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic tape measure skills
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork
- Experience with scanners/computers for item scanning and tracking
