Job Summary
Unload daily deliveries, sort and stage products in appropriate storage areas, and maintain a clean backroom and storage area. Rotate products using FIFO to ensure freshness; report discrepancies or inventory issues to management. Operate and handle equipment in adherence with sanitation and safety guidelines; work in cold temperatures and lift 8-32 pounds on average with occasional heavier lifts. This role supports Wegmans’ operations by ensuring items are stocked, rotated, and ready for customers, contributing to an efficient backroom and sales floor.
Required Qualifications
- Availability for morning and afternoon shifts including weekends
- Must be 18 years or older
- Full-time employment
- Ability to unload, sort, organize, and stage products
- Ability to rotate products using FIFO
- Ability to lift 8-32 pounds regularly, up to 50+ pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in cold temperatures
- Compliance with sanitation and safety guidelines
