Job Summary
Material Handler/Waterspider assists production on the floor to ensure a continuous flow of materials. Responsibilities include issuing materials via packets and pick lists, moving raw materials and finished goods, maintaining Kanban inventory levels, labeling materials, promoting safety, escalating issues to team leaders and Materials Manager, identifying efficient material handling within production and warehouse areas, proactively identifying quality issues, putting away received materials to warehouse locations, and assisting in other warehouse functions as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate a forklift and move materials as required to expedite flow
- Ability to use a personal motorized man lift to heights of 16ft
- Communication and attention to detail to maintain inventory accuracy and compliance
- Safely lift 50lbs, unaided, and up to 75lbs with assistance
- Assembly, Machining, or Die-Casting experience is helpful
- Must possess good mechanical aptitude and follow standardized work
- History of experience with simple hand tools and measuring devices
