Job Summary
Move material to and from various locations throughout the division while processing transactions in dedicated business systems. Maintain storage of protective materials, container liners, pallets, and empty tanks, providing them to departments as needed. Operate powered material handling equipment including stand-up reach trucks, order pickers, and turret trucks after certification. Use data terminals and handheld scanning devices to complete proper paperwork for material movement. Count inventory using scales and basic measuring devices. Work scheduled shifts with assigned overtime while observing all shop safety and conduct rules. High school diploma required; forklift experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs
- Basic math and counting skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to use handheld scanning devices
- Ability to be trained and certified to operate powered industrial trucks including reach trucks and order pickers
- Ability to use data terminals, handheld scanning devices, and other computer equipment
- Ability to be certified on and operate powered material handling equipment including stand up reach trucks, order pickers, turret trucks, and sit-down forklifts
- Ability to count inventory and operate counting equipment such as scales and basic measuring devices
- Complete proper paperwork for material movement
- Work scheduled shifts along with scheduled overtime as assigned
- Observe all shop safety and conduct rules
