Job Summary
Material Handler responsible for basic warehousing duties including order fulfillment and packing an assortment of products from multiple distribution locations. Uses handheld scanners, PCs, and printing devices to follow established inventory control procedures and picking/stocking documents. Will be trained to master skills with emphasis on Safety, Accuracy, and Productivity; duties include identifying task lists for picking assignments, packing and redistributing items, meeting production goals, preventing inventory shrinkage, and assisting with training new hires. Maintains cleanliness of equipment and workstations, adheres to safety regulations, and can work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. Strong attention to detail, adaptability, multitasking, and ability to collaborate with teammates and supervisors are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience preferred
- 1 to 3 years of related manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to operate personal computer or computerized scanning and printing devices
- Ability to read English to interpret safety rules and operating instructions
- Basic mathematical skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide)
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Willingness to learn and follow procedures
- Ability to work onsite and participate in regular meetings
- Ability to initiate coordination and collaboration with team members
