Job Summary
Material Handler at Univar Solutions: Mixes and packages products, maintains inventory, and assists in shipping/receiving in the warehouse. Handles loading/unloading with forklift, ships/receives per procedures, assists in warehouse maintenance, and participates in emergency response teams. Manages hazardous materials and hazardous waste, performs inspections and paperwork for receiving, storing, and shipping hazardous waste, and ensures proper storage and disposal. Maintains warehouse cleanliness and adheres to quality processes; helps resolve product quality issues. Requires forklift operation, knowledge of cGMP related to FDARP, ability to use respiratory protection, and ability to handle hazardous materials/wastes. Physical requirements include lifting at least 100 pounds and handling up to 800 lb drums, with exposure to fumes and chemicals. Located at 2801 S. 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009; on-site role with standard safety and compliance measures.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate an industrial powered lift truck or forklift according to company procedures and governmental regulations
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements as it pertains to FDARP as applicable to the facility
- Ability to use and maintain respiratory protection equipment
- Ability to learn proper methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes, with training
