Job Summary
Move, load, and unload tile and stone products using forklifts and pallet jacks while inspecting materials for damage before shipment. Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and collaborate with the inventory control team to resolve discrepancies. Keep the warehouse clean and organized by optimizing storage spaces and adhering to all safety protocols. Report safety concerns promptly and communicate effectively with suppliers regarding inbound and outbound shipments. This full-time role includes overtime as business needs dictate and requires a high school diploma, forklift certification, and the ability to lift heavy loads in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a material handler in a warehouse environment
- Previous experience loading and unloading trucks
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols
- Must be available for overtime as business needs dictate
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift certification and experience operating other warehouse equipment
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing
- Proven experience handling experience in a precise and meticulous manner
- Preferably in the tile and stone industry
