Job Summary
Material Handler Trainee (Foley) responsible for supporting salvage operations in the Donated Goods department; operates the textile baler after training, bundles ~9 bales daily, transports bales using a forklift, assists with loading/unloading and shipping, stacks pallets, and helps keep areas clean while following safety and attendance policies. Requires forklift certification within 14 days (or already certified), ability to read/write logs in English, strong customer-facing communication, flexibility for nights/weekends, and a proactive, ownership-driven attitude. Typically a temporary, non-exempt role with up to 90 days duration; HS diploma/GED preferred but not required; prior warehouse or forklift experience preferred; physical ability to lift up to 100+ lbs with assistance occasionally and substantial standing, bending, and movement. Must be at least 18 years old and able to work all shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Forklift certified or willing to obtain certification within 14 days of hire
- Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- At least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required
- Prior forklift experience preferred
