Required Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• Frequently required walking and reaching with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to climb or balance
• Able to operate forklift
• Material Handler Essential Functions
• Reads production schedule and determines material requirements for production
• Moves materials and containers from storage or work sites to designated areas to meet requirements of production schedule
• Identifies materials and containers with suitable tags or labels
• Cleans work areas, machines, and equipment to assist operators
• Loads loose materials into hoppers and containers
• Mix materials according to product requirements
• Performs other duties that may be assigned
• Material Handler Physical Demands and Work Environment
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
• The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds
• Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms
• Regularly required to stand for long periods, walk, talk, and hear
• Ability to use hand tools
• Ability to read applicable instructions
