Job Summary
Operate powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product while checking inbound and outbound items for damage, infestation, and accurate code recording. Physically load product onto equipment, pallets, or totes more than 20% of the shift, then put-away and pick items for shipment or stock. Verify quantity, quality, labeling, and address against customer orders to ensure shipments are complete and correct. Change equipment batteries or LP tanks as necessary, report discrepancies such as non-available products, and maintain a neat, clean facility with daily equipment inspections. Assist in physical inventories and stand for up to 90% of the shift while safely lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires one year of order fulfillment experience, including inbound/outbound shipping and receiving, with preferred WMS knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of (1) one year's experience in the following: Order Fulfillment as an Order Picker and Packer - to include cross-trained skills across multiple departments - inbound, outbound, auto store, domestic and international shipping, receiving.
- Preparing product for safe shipment and verifying accuracy utilizing using computer, shipping label and/or packing list.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time. The position will require standing for up to 90% of the shift.
- Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
- Six months warehouse experience, preferred
- Six months forklift operation experience, prefer
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with a WMS (Warehouse Management System) is highly desired. Examples of WMS systems are JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP.
