Job Summary
Material Handler (Standup Forklift Operator) on a 12-hour night shift at Winland Foods. Responsibilities include safely operating standup forklifts, pallet jacks, and wrapping machines; conducting inspections and maintaining documentation; ensuring FIFO/FEFO inventory rotation and accurate staging to prevent downtime; handling packaging materials and parcel shipments; contributing to food-safety compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, and FSMA; participating in inventory counts and using SAP for transfers and reporting; training and assisting team members; driving continuous improvement and 5S efforts; and maintaining a clean, audit-ready workspace. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, forklift experience/certifications a plus, SAP experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong safety awareness. The role includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus, shift differential, and benefits, with schedule 6:00pm-6:30am on a 2-2-3 rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Forklift certification a plus
- Experience operating forklifts, box trucks, and SAP inventory management systems
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (e.g., forklift, SAP)
- 18+ years of age
- Proficiency in SAP, hand scanners, and basic math
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk up to 90% of shift, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Demonstrated ability to work in a safety-conscious, food-processing environment
- Ability to communicate in English
- Able to work a 2-2-3 schedule and night shift
- Compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, FSMA policies
