Job Summary
Execute advanced material handling, inventory control, and logistics support activities with minimal supervision. Perform physical and administrative tasks for shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing, and distributing materials, parts, and equipment. Ensure accurate movement and traceability of goods while complying with internal procedures, customer requirements, and regulatory standards for hazardous or controlled materials. Conduct cycle counting, reconciliation, and root cause analysis to maintain inventory accuracy, investigating discrepancies in shipping and receiving. Coordinate carrier pickups and deliveries, prepare shipments, and maintain records of merchandise shipped. Identify inefficiencies in material flow and storage processes to recommend improvements and implement standardized work procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, shipping documents and inventory records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Physical ability to lift, push and pull materials and equipment
- Lifts heavy items
- May operate a forklift
