Job Summary
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load/unload trucks and transport materials. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, prepping shipments, and ensuring safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates will have prior experience with forklifts, attention to detail in handling industrial equipment, and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Regular attendance is essential, and candidates must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience with safe operation of powered industrial trucks (forklifts)
- Loading/unloading semis
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Desired Qualifications
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with industrial equipment including RF scan guns
Additional Requirements
- Pre-employment drug screens except for legal substances in Michigan
- Post-offer background checks looking at the last 7 years
