Job Summary
Maintain a safe work environment by pulling material and delivering it to the dock, checking containers for correct part numbers and quantities, and completing pick lists after counting and rechecking for loading. Organize and maintain all material handling supply equipment while ensuring a clean work environment through daily housekeeping, visual controls, and workplace organization. Read and interpret safety rules, policies, and operating instructions; perform basic math functions; use various tools; and apply knowledge of resins, materials, packaging, lot control, and safety equipment. Possess basic computer skills and strong communication abilities. Pass necessary testing to obtain a lift truck license. Minimum of six months in a like position preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Ability to use various types of tools (manual, electric, pneumatic, etc.).
- Basic computer skills
- Well-developed communication skills - both written & oral
- Knowledge of resins, materials and packaging products.
- Knowledge of safety equipment/procedures on all presses and machinery.
- Knowledge of lot control & lot control processes.
- Ability to pass the necessary testing to obtain a lift truck license.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of six (6) months in a like or similar position.
