Job Summary
Load and unload parts, finished goods, and returned materials; check shipments for accuracy and manifest orders. Verify that processing meets customer requests using load sheets to stage orders. Communicate with supervisors regarding shortages or damaged products and maintain a well-organized, safely stacked work area. Assist with cleaning the shipping dock and wrap materials to Carpenter standards. Requires forklift certification, basic math skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays with little notice. On-the-job training provided.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic reading, writing and math skills
- Must be able to use a computer in day-to-day operations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision
- Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays and call-in with little notice
- Carpenter Co. conducts pre-employment drug testing on all applicants that receive and accept a written offer of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in shipping environment
- Some manufacturing experience
