Job Summary
Sort scrap, metal, and debris; operate a hydraulic grapple or magnetic crane to lift, sort, load, or unload containers and trailers; and move scrap metal of varying sizes and weights around the work area. Perform daily equipment inspections to report defects, determine load weights against lifting capacities, and ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental standards. Work outside in varying weather conditions providing a safe environment for employees and visitors. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to learn new tasks as assigned
- All US applicants must be 18 years of age or older
- An offer of employment by SA Recycling is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a post-offer drug screen, physical exam, and background check with a credit check (if position specified)
Desired Qualifications
- 1-year previous general labor in the scrap metal or construction industries
- Previous Hydraulic Crane experience
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
