Job Summary
Material Handler at PPG plant in Huntsville, AL. Operate gas or electric powered forklift to move, stack, load, or unload materials and finished goods; read production schedules and work orders to determine items to move; transfer materials between receiving/production areas; may load/unload trucks and use Hi-Rise for storage; follow detailed process instructions to ensure high-quality aircraft transparencies; support plant operations and maintain safety procedures; evening/overnight shifts and overtime as needed; may obtain CDL license if required. Strong emphasis on safe forklift operation, materials handling, and timely delivery to meet production needs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently
- Ability to operate forklift safely
- Availability to work evening, overnight shifts and overtime as needed
- Three to five years of previous receiving/shipping experience is preferred
- May obtain CDL license if needed
