Job Summary
Oversee workflow processes by allocating raw material, physically handling items to work centers, and responding to dispatch schedules while communicating with production. Review Work Center Inventory Requirements alerts to align receiving dates and analyze demand changes to update ship dates in the ERP system. Conduct cycle counts for physical inventory and tooling in the PLEX database, adjust records as necessary, and create Master Units for Lot Management. Maintain continuous flow by assisting at control centers and working with departments to ensure jobs reach the next operation timely. Use cranes and protective equipment while moving and lifting objects up to 50 lbs in a lean manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, job routings, and a working knowledge of the PLEX database system
- Must be able to perform repetitive movements daily
- Must be able to move and lift objects of up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to perform gross manipulation, climbing stairs, ladders, ramps, fine motor manipulation, lifting/carrying, pushing, and pulling
- Must be able to use cranes
- Must be able to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data
- Must be able to alternate between standing and sitting
- Must always wear safety shoes and safety glasses when on the shop floor
- Must be willing to work on loud and potentially dangerous machinery/materials
- Must be willing to use protective equipment such as gowns and safety goggles
- Must be available for 1st & 2nd Shift
