Job Summary
Unload grain trucks to maintain adequate plant inventories and assist in loading during harvest. Load ethanol and DDGS trucks and railcars for customer delivery. Maintain complete and accurate logs associated with the Material Handlers area. Communicate regularly with personnel to ensure efficient plant operation and provide a customer service attitude to internal and external stakeholders. Adhere to all safety, health, environmental, and food/feed safety policies while maintaining a clean workstation. Operate industrial equipment and climb to heights of 125 feet or more. This role supports the customer service aspects of the plant, including corn receiving, chemical receiving, and other duties assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- High School or Equivalent
- Ability to operate industrial size equipment
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and senior level management
- Ability to maintain good attendance habits
- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit
- Frequently required to climb to levels of 125 feet or more, confined, and harnessed
- Use of stairs and ladders are required
- Occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds or more
- Operate in an office and production environment
- Production environment could include frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme heat or cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration
- Employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
- Noise level in the production environment is usually very loud
- This position requires use of a respirator
Desired Qualifications
- A Post Secondary education and or technical trade certificate
- 1-2 years' experience
- In-depth knowledge of the ethanol production process and technology
- Working knowledge of plant equipment and safety
