Job Summary
Locate, pick, and pull parts for internal and external shipment; pack service parts and process shipments through FedEx and UPS systems. Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals while using gun scanners effectively. Pick parts from elevated rack locations and climb stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds. Work independently in a fast-paced environment, standing long periods and performing scheduled or unscheduled overtime. Prior forklift experience is preferred, with certification available for those without prior driving history.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma for general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to use gun scanners effectively
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills
- Good math skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and Procedure manuals
- Ability to pick parts from elevated rack locations
- Ability to climb stairs
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Prior forklift driving experience
- Willingness to learn and become certified if no prior forklift experience
- Ability to work from 5:00 am start time if necessary
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Good attendance standing
- Cross functional capability in all areas of operations
- Ability to stand long periods at a time
