Job Summary
Material Handler - Nights: Load and unload products safely and accurately according to company policies under the direction of the Departmental Supervisor/Lead. Perform consolidation and staging of customer orders, update consolidation cards, and execute computer transactions in the MRP system for finished goods. Operate straddle truck, forklift, and overhead crane to move materials from bolsters to bolsters; assist in loading trailers; maintain housekeeping; and comply with safety procedures. Standard shift is 3rd shift from 11 PM to 7 AM, with potential hours outside the standard shift. Strong emphasis on material identification by part number/description/quantity, attention to quality checks, and adherence to procedures. Must have experience in a manufacturing environment and with the listed equipment; ability to read English and perform basic math is required. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to read and write English
- Ability to use common manufacturing math
- 6 months prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
- 6 months prior experience operating heavy equipment
- 6 months prior experience using computer inventory control system
- Previous forklift operating experience
- Previous overhead crane experience
- Previous experience operating a straddle truck and specialized shag truck (terminal tractor, yard truck for shipping and receiving)
