Job Summary
Receive and verify incoming raw materials, ingredients, and packaging against purchase orders while operating a forklift to unload trucks and transfer items to storage. Safely transport inventory, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the facility, stage outbound trailers for shipment, and ensure proper cargo weight distribution and FIFO rotation. Scan material movements using warehouse management systems to track inventory, perform daily cycle counts, and generate accurate shipping and receiving paperwork. Adhere to all food safety requirements, quality management processes, and site safety programs to maintain a clean, sanitary environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent civilian/military education
- Proven experience in warehouse logistics, receiving, shipping, or material handling roles
- Demonstrated experience operating a forklift safely in an industrial or warehouse environment
- Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, climb, and safely lift up to 40 pounds manually
- Working knowledge of basic computer programs for entering data, record keeping, and maintaining inventory logs
- Basic math skills
- A keen eye for detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high-performing team environment with a willingness to learn and be coached
- Must be available for Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) (2-2-3 Rotating Schedule)
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds manually
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to bend, reach, climb
- Must be in good physical condition
