Material Handler - Night Shift

Job Summary
Safely drive a forklift to stage material, load and unload trucks, and transfer materials within the plant and departments. Maintain distribution of materials between the production floor and inventory while staging finished product in designated locations. Adhere strictly to safety procedures and communicate ways to improve the work environment. Assist in maintaining a safe, organized, FIFO-controlled warehouse by identifying, placing, and recording inventory locations. Prepare finished stock for shipment by pulling and securing product in correct locations. Perform related duties as assigned, including general housekeeping in accordance with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of sit-down forklift experience
- 1+ years of inventory control experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to take coaching well and communicates respectfully with others
- Promote positive teamwork culture
- Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate with team and during shift transition
- Knowledgeable of safety requirements and guidelines in manufacturing/warehouse environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture
- Must be available for 6PM-6AM shifts based on a 2-2-3 schedule
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull materials
- Must be able to stand, stoop, and sit frequently
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Inventory Control/Warehouse Management software (ex. SAP) is a plus!
