Job Summary
Operate forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished goods within the plant, office, or warehouse. Maintain records and adhere to clearly defined SOPs, quality guidelines, and prescribed steps while working under general to limited supervision. Lift and move items over 50 lbs, including repetitive motions, while navigating moderate to loud noise levels, extreme temperatures, and moving mechanical parts. Requires shipping and receiving experience, basic math skills, and ability to read English documents.
Required Qualifications
- Shipping and receiving experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Zero (0) to one (1) year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training
- Appropriate licenses / training / certifications
- Basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production)
- Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand
- Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment
- General computer skills
- Ability to lift and/or move over 50 lbs
