Job Summary
Operate forklifts, cranes, and power trucks to move materials, parts, and finished goods within the plant. Maintain records by verifying labels on boxes and matching them to pallets while scanning items. Adhere to clearly defined SOPs and quality guidelines while performing routine tasks under general supervision. Lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs, including unloading trucks and stacking pallets. Work 40 hours weekly from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Zero (0) to one (1) year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training
- Stand up forklift experience
- Ability to verify labels on boxes and matching to pallets
- Attention to detail
- Scanning experience
- Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment
- General computer skills
- Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Mainly manual labor - unloading trucks and stacking pallets - under 25 lbs (some weigh less than 5 lbs)
- Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production)
- Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines
- Ability to perform basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method
