Job Summary
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished goods within the plant, office, or warehouse. Maintain records and adhere to clearly defined SOPs, scientific methods, and quality guidelines while working under general to limited supervision. Develop skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures within the material handling process. This 2nd shift contract role requires 40 hours weekly from 2:00pm to 10:30pm and involves lifting over 50 lbs, exposure to moving mechanical parts, and moderate to loud noise levels.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Zero (0) to one (1) year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training
- Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed
- Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment
- General computer skills
- Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand
- Must be able to lift and/or move over 50 lbs
- Must be able to work near moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
- Must be able to work in high, precarious places
- Must be able to work with fumes/airborne particles
- Must be able to work in hot conditions (no AC)
- Must be able to work in cold conditions (limited heating)
- Must be able to tolerate moderate to loud noise levels
- Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, climb, crouch, reach, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, twist, and use hands to finger, handle, feel, pick, or type
- Must be able to work under general to limited supervision
- Must be able to work within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods
- Must be able to adhere to quality guidelines
- Must be a US Citizen or GC Holder
- Must be available for 2nd Shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm)
- Must be available for 40 hours/week
- Must be available for 5 Months duration
- Must be able to be trained on pallet jack, forklifts, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production)
