Job Summary
Read ship cards accurately and pull/stage orders without error while coordinating with management to stage material ahead of production needs. Use handheld scanners and prybar tools to safely unload trucks, position steel bar, and maintain floor organization to maximize space utilization. Take ownership of steel bar and dumbbell inventory, ensuring accuracy and detail throughout operations. Model safe equipment operation and hold team members to the same standard, strictly adhering to OSHA regulations and proper stacking procedures. Cross-support other areas with crane, forklift, or side loader as needed, identifying workflow improvements to enhance delivery efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Current forklift certification
- Overhead crane experience
- Ability to lift 75lbs
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs as needed
- Ability to remain on feet for a full shift, covering long distances across a manufacturing floor
- Proficiency with handheld scanners and basic systems/technology
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-directed — able to identify and start tasks without close supervision
- Clear communicator; team-oriented with sound problem-resolution skills
- Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility
