Job Summary
Load trucks for daily shipment and unload inbound deliveries via forklift, hand jack, and other equipment. Secure loaded trailers, set up the pail line, and move required stock throughout the plant to maintain production. Complete Bills of Lading, copy documents, and ensure correct labeling and accurate counts of material. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on all equipment while maintaining proper housekeeping and safety requirements. Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and semi-trucks, including all four seasons' outdoor lock and chock procedures. Use glad hand locks and manage time-sensitive activities with attention to detail. Maintain all required tools and understand quality procedures and verifications. Work M-F 6:00am – 4:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years forklift truck loading experience
- Safe navigation of a forklift
- Able to work on a team
- Fast paced
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
- Reading comprehension (loading documents)
- Basic math skills
- DOT truck weight balancing and safe loading with a variety of heights, weights and footprints
- Attention to details (Accuracy)
- Light computer skills (Oracle)
- Problem solving
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Multi-task and prioritize activities
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA forklift certification
