Job Summary
Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and position large materials, equipment, and industrial components within the Paint and Machine Shop. Move and stage materials throughout the facility, assist with assembly of industrial pieces, and support painting operations by preparing, moving, and blasting components. Perform surface preparation including cleaning, sanding, and masking, while properly securing heavy items and organizing parts and tools. Maintain clean work areas and follow all safety procedures. Requires previous forklift experience and ability to lift, carry, and push materials in a busy industrial environment.
Required Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience
- Experience moving large or heavy materials
- Experience in industrial assembly, painting, fabrication, manufacturing, or a machine shop
- Ability to safely operate a forklift in a busy industrial/shop environment
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment, machinery, paint, and industrial materials
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as needed
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Dependable, hardworking, and willing to assist wherever needed
