Job Summary
Move product by pushing and pulling supplies and product to packing lines on racks, tow motors, and carts. Supply packaging lines with supplies and meat while loading and unloading product chilling units and holding rooms. Set up and tear down machines, keep the warehouse clean, and enter rack information electronically or manually using SAP. Issue materials and enter data into the computer system, scanning all product film, boxes, casings, clips, and ingredients for daily runs including changeovers. Comply with HACCP, safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements while performing job rotations as assigned. Work the 1st shift in wet conditions and cold temperatures, including time in the blast freezer.
Required Qualifications
- Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
- Ability and willingness to obtain tow motor certification
- Ability and willingness to scan or input into computer system all product film, boxes, casings, clips, and ingredients for all daily product runs, including change overs
- Ability and willingness to follow formulations on the computer and accurately record and report food safety or product information
- Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently
- Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours
- Ability and willingness to flex/grip wrist/hands frequently
- Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees
- Ability and willingness to work in and out of the blast freezer at -6 degrees
Desired Qualifications
- Machine Operator experience
- Experience in a manufacturing setting
- RF Scanner experience
