Job Summary
Material Handler in a Wichita/Kansas City-area warehouse/records storage environment responsible for sorting, retrieving, and filing records for the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). Responsibilities include locating containers/folders on shelving, verifying pull lists, preparing documents for scanning, moving records to designated areas, palletizing disposable records, logging batch activity, performing basic data entry in spreadsheets, and ensuring accurate labeling and storage. Must lift 30-50 lbs, climb ladders up to 15 feet, and operate in a labor-intensive setting. Requires ability to pass drug screening, background check, and US citizenship; HS diploma or GED required. Schedule is 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday; full-time role with benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to perform in a labor-intensive environment
- Must be able to lift boxes up to 30 to 50 lbs regularly
- Must be able to climb ladders to reach shelving up to 15 feet high
- May be required to successfully complete a drug screen
- Have the ability to pass a background check and receive a government security clearance
- This contract requires that all candidates are U.S. citizens
