Job Summary
Material Handler to support automotive production by efficiently picking up and delivering materials and returnable containers. Responsibilities include operating powered material handling equipment following safety rules, performing daily and preventive maintenance checks, ensuring correct parts and quantities for production, managing Kanban and tote activities, removing tags and trash, recycling cardboard, and escalating supply gaps to the team leader. Must have forklift training/license and meet safety, teamwork, and accuracy standards; ability to lift up to 32 pounds and work extended hours with potential weekend work. Office-free shop floor role with travel to vendor or customer sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- TABE test score 8 or better
- team player
- valid DAC forklift training and license
