Job Summary
Material Handler needed to move, handle, and store materials in a fast-paced warehouse/manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include receiving/unloading shipments, loading/unloading chemical trucks and railcars, safely handling bulk materials (acids and salts), inventory management and data entry into ERP, operating and maintaining material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, automated bagging equipment), ensuring safety compliance and quality checks, and completing required documentation. The role requires following safety protocols, strong attention to detail, and effective communication. After initial training on 1st shift, this position is a 2nd shift role. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, ERP/data-entry experience, forklift certification (or ability to obtain), ability to work with chemicals and in a safety-focused environment, and willingness to pass drug screening and background checks. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting preferred
- Basic math, computer literacy, and ERP data entry experience
- Ability to read and follow safety rules, procedures, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving ability with initiative and independence when needed
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Valid forklift certification, or ability to obtain
- Must pass drug screening, complete a background check and physical, and be legally eligible to work in the United States
