Job Summary
Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials and inventory while maintaining accuracy. Pick, pack, and stage materials for production and shipments, operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners. Transport materials throughout the facility and load/unload trucks, using hand and power tools as needed. Keep work areas clean and compliant with safety standards, assisting with identifying shortages or discrepancies. Work closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure materials are available when needed. This 6-month contract-to-hire role in Lorain, OH, offers a path to growth within a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds on a repetitive basis
- Comfortable climbing ladders and working on your feet throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify parts, inventory issues, and material shortages
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and documentation
- Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours as needed
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
