Job Summary
Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Loads and unloads materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, then conveys and secures them to designated areas. Drive industrial lift trucks, electric carts, and company vehicles while performing routine preventive maintenance. Counts, weighs, and records unit movements for stock requisition or Kanban records. Attach identifying tags, stack materials into bundles, and wrap various units. Clean work areas, handle spills, and remove samples for laboratory analysis. Continually look for ways to improve production processes while making safety your top priority. Work alongside Assemblers and professionals across multiple departments to deliver quality products in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- 1+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Must possess the ability to use tools and equipment that are needed to perform the assembly operations in an industrial setting
- Must have good listening and communication skills
- Able to work well with others and to be a good team player
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
