Job Summary
Material Handler/Industrial Painter on 2nd shift moving metal in the shop, operating forklift and overhead cranes, and painting steel products as needed. Responsibilities include painting and blasting operations, operating saws/shears/bending equipment, measuring/cutting/shaping metal, cleaning/prepping workstations, loading/unloading raw materials and fabricated steel, and adhering to safe work practices. Requires prior material handling in manufacturing, crane experience, and (beneficial) industrial painting on steel; includes basic math and reading drawings. Training on 1st shift may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Prior material handling experience in a manufacturing environment
- overhead crane experience with steel
- Industrial Painting experience on steel beneficial
- Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
- Read and interpret maps, sketches and drawings
- Reliable transportation to and from fabrication shop
