Job Summary
Conduct material handling operations including locating, picking, moving, and storing materials using hand and powered pallet movers, fork trucks, and packing equipment. Operate material handling machinery such as forklifts, power jacks, and stretch wrap machines while maintaining accurate inventory logs via WMS and RF scan guns. Pick finished goods cases per customer orders, label cases, build pallets to customer specifications, and stretch wrap pallets. Detect and report faulty equipment, defective materials, or unusual conditions to the supervisor. Follow all safety rules, maintain work areas, and perform other duties as directed. First shift Monday through Friday with overtime available during the April-July busy season.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- 2-5 years' warehouse experience
- 2-5 years of experience operating a forklift
- 2-5 years of experience operating a power jack
- 2-5 years of experience operating a riding jack
- Experience using a scanning gun
- Experience loading and unloading 53-foot trailers and box trucks
- Experience and understanding of BIN transfers
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to more than 50 pounds with assistance
- Employees need to be able to stand for 8-10 hours
- The employee needs to be able to do repetitive lifting motions
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
