Job Summary
Material Handler II responsible for safe loading/unloading, inventory accuracy, and compliance with Crane SOPs; duties include validating vendor accuracy and BOLs, ensuring no cargo damage, labeling, quality checklists, load sign-offs, kitting/sub-assembly, handling hazardous materials with MSDS paperwork, fulfilling client orders, operating forklifts and high-reach equipment, loading materials, securing loads, counting/weighing, tagging and scanning with WMS/RF, and completing paperwork; maintains safe on-site operations, participates in Safety Committee, and may train others while maintaining knowledge of all branch accounts and floor functions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Greater than three years’ of related experience
- Forklift certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Must be a trainer and exhibit competency in training others
- Must know all accounts and be able to perform every floor function in the branch
- Must be a member of the Safety Committee at least once during the year
