Job Summary
Confirm product with schedule and assist with Quality Control duties including monitoring saw cuts, pipe length, and print line confirmation. Package finished pipe in proper crate quantities, weigh and transport product, and cut crate boards to required lengths. Process re-grind or scrap pipe and assist with running PVC extrusion lines, including changeovers and stringing the line downstream. Identify out-of-specification products and perform maintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas. Prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining a safe, clean working environment by complying with all procedures and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
- Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
- 1-2 years related experience preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus
