Material Handler I Yard/Warehouse

Physically handle materials used to construct components and finished products to ensure optimized movement; lift, carry, stack items, and operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment. Respond to training from foremen or senior handlers to increase knowledge of work processes while observing all safety procedures to prevent injury. Perform tasks involving climbing, lifting, pushing, or kneeling, including frequent lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 80 pounds. Work within a production environment subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels, and dust. This is an entry-level position requiring a high school diploma or GED, where the incumbent will receive on-the-job training.
