Material Handler I Yard/Warehouse

Handle and maintain the flow of materials and products on the premises by lifting, carrying, and stacking items to ensure optimized movement. Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment, some requiring specialized training, while responding to foreman instruction to master work processes. Adhere strictly to safety procedures and attend periodic safety meetings to prevent injury to self or co-workers. This entry-level position involves on-the-job training for individuals with a high school diploma or GED, focusing on manual dexterity and common sense application to detailed instructions. Work is performed within a production environment subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, and noise, requiring the ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 80 pounds on occasion.
