Material Handler I

Material Handler I performs duties to prepare hazardous waste materials for incineration in a safe and efficient manner, including assembling boxes and staging materials, repackaging waste into charge boxes, donning PPE, breaking down waste from vendor containers, processing materials into various solid/mix/slurry configurations, weighing charges to plan specifications, and maintaining in-process inventory via electronic scanning. The role requires basic math for measurements, ability to communicate in writing, and experience with material handling equipment; 40-Hour HAZWOPER training is preferred. The position also involves moving materials to the incinerator dock, consolidating materials for incineration, reclaiming drums for recycling, maintaining clean process areas, and coordinating with leadmen and shift crews.
