Job Summary
Comply with all safety policies and complete daily equipment inspections before operating forklifts to transport, load, unload, and stage raw materials, finished goods, and pallets. Move materials between storage, production, and shipping areas while using scanner guns to track inventory movements and verify shipments against bills of lading. Operate balers to process reusable corrugated materials, weigh regrind materials, and monitor silo levels in the blending room. Assist production departments, process outbound shipments, and maintain strict housekeeping standards throughout the facility. Work a day shift from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM at our Waynesville, NC location.
Required Qualifications
- at least one year of experience as a Material Handler or similar warehouse position
- current forklift certification
- extensive forklift operating experience
- experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment
- ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities
- strong organizational and time-management skills
- ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership
- ability to read and comprehend written instructions, correspondence, and work orders
- basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- proficiency with data entry and handheld scanner systems
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
- ability to maintain a strong attendance record
