Job Summary
Operate energized and non-energized forklifts and palletizing equipment to package aseptic beverage finished products, monitoring and clearing robot jams while performing routine maintenance and documenting parts orders. Pick and load outbound trucks, unload inbound trucks, and manage raw packaging supplies using a First In First Out basis. Maintain clean, organized work areas, complete critical parameter inspections, and perform quality and food safety checks to ensure standards are met. Relieve team members for breaks and absences as required, communicate delays to facility personnel, and follow all safety, food safety, and GMP procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Forklift certification
- Passing of background and drug screens
- Able to keep operating logs and records
- Able to read manuals and problem solve
- Able to climb off and on forklifts on a regular basis
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree or higher
- Two years related experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least one year experience in food manufacturing
- Basic math skills including weight calculations, averages and percentages
- Ability to read and write in English
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Attention to detail is a must
- Must follow all employee safety, food safety and quality procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- Two years related experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Preferably at least one year experience in food manufacturing
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- High energy, flexible, self-starter, hands-on, comfortable with little or no administrative support
- Desire to succeed and good work ethics
