Job Summary
Transport materials to or from storage or work sites, loading and unloading vehicles, containers, and pallets using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and lifting devices. Sort, store, and process incoming donations by category, separating items like glass, wares, and shoes, then move processed merchandise to appropriate workstations, holding areas, or production departments. Safely lift heavy objects, ride in vehicles assisting drivers with cargo, and transfer trash to compactors while maintaining a clean, organized work area. Adhere to all company standards, safety regulations, and confidentiality policies. Part-time positions may be available with some benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass background check
- Must demonstrate willingness and ability to adhere to Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest directives, rules, policies, procedures, and departmental and organizational standards
- Must be able to lift heavy objects by hand, using lift devices and/or employee assistance
- Must be able to ride in vehicles (trucks) assisting driver with loading and unloading cargo trucks of donations and other materials from donors (including moving items by hand, pushing or pulling empty or full/heavy carts, racks, pallet jacks, and hand trucks) from residences and/or places of business, Donation Service Centers and Goodwill Stores. Frequently enter and exit truck cab and cargo box
- Must be able to properly wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to comply with all health, safety and fire standards and all local, state and federal regulations (WISHA & OSHA)
